ELL Program
English Language Learners (ELL) students make up roughly 1/4 of AMES population, due to the high demanding of ELL students in schools; the ELL program was established. This program helps teachers and staffs ensure academic success; making sure that every student receives the services they need in order to be successful here at AMES. Through this program, students are serve and monitor until teachers and ELL coordinator feel like the student's ready to be exited out of the program because he or she no longer need these services.
ELL program is designed to help a diverse body of students obtain the education needed to ensure a bright and successful future. Here at AMES, teachers work hand in hand with ELL parents and ELL coordinator to develop educational plans, goals, and give them that one-on-one assistance that they need.
AMES has a full time staff member that is devoted to helping her students. Mrs. Adasa is an AMES alumnus who was also an ELL student all through high school. She was able to improve her English language skills and came back to AMES to support students just like her. Mrs. Adasa is currently attending Salt Lake Community College, working towards her bachelor's degree in Psychology.
